I hope your summer was filled with lots of sunshine, love and joy! Mine has been quite busy but fun at the same time. Here are a few snaps before they go into untitled folder: 1), 6) countryside — my favorite place to unwind 2) Cosmos and Irish Bells from our little garden 3) delicious peaches at the farmer's market 4) Atlantic 5) a field of zinnias at the favorite farm in Maryland.

In Full Bloom

A little round up of this year's spring blooms. I must say spring arrived so late and has been the coldest I can remember since I've been here, in the States. I guess this delay made us appreciate the beauty of the spring season even more. So here we go -- a mix of various blossoms and greenery in Georgetown and around DC, and the unknown fruits and fairy-tale flower installations at Longwood Gardens which we visited back in March. They had the Orchid Extravaganza going on at that time which was spectacular! I strongly encourage my Maryland, Virginia and DC readers (and everyone else of course!) to visit this gorgeous place. It will take your breath away, I promise! It's about 2 hour drive from DC.

Доброе-доброе утро! Надеюсь, что ваши выходные прошли замечательно, и новая неделя началась на ура. Вот всё время себя ругаю, что не перевожу текст на русский, сегодня взяла себя в руки и открыла транслит. А на самом деле чувство такое, "что русский речь меня покинул" :( Просто хотела поделиться февральскими фотографиями, которые до сих пор не опубликовала. У меня всегда на рабочем столе бесконечные папки фотографий, не знающие радость публикации. Буду их потихоньку здесь выкладывать. Начнём вот с этих, ярких и солнечных :)

Morning!

8 am. It's so cold, dark and rainy outside that I don't feel like stepping out today at all (though I need to). It feels good to be all cuddled up in a cozy fuzzy bathrobe drinking hot tea with lemon while a bunch of the delicate crispy white ranunculus brighten up our kitchen on this gloomy morning. I was at Trader Joe's on Saturday and almost squealed with excitement walking by the colorful bunches of ranunculus at the flower section. I always get too excited when flower sections of the local stores have a nice selection of blooms - the more the merrier.

p.s. I know you guys would rather see an outfit post but my babe (aka my photographer) has been busy snowboarding in a far away land for more than two weeks now. The good thing is he's coming back this Sunday. Sounds promising, doesn't it?

A Few Of My Favorite Things

A few of my favorite things lately (could be seen in Instagram variation as well): 1. Going through old architecture/interior design magazines at night while drinking hot tea 2. Mini stroopwafels (I get them in bunches at Trader Joe's) 3. Spending mornings in cozy sweaters 4. Adding chocolate sprinkles to my latte 5. Knits (the more the merrier!)

Маленькие повседневные радости (вы могли их уже видеть в Instagram на прошлой неделе): 1. Перелистывать старые журналы по архитектуре и дизайну интерьера 2. Мини вафли (я закупаю их пачками в Trader Joe's) 3. Ходить по утрам по дому в большом уютном свитере 4. Посыпать пенку латте шоколадной стружкой 5. Вязаные вещи (чем больше, тем лучше!)

Hello, September

A farewell to summer -- me running in the meadow in a feverfew flower wreath last evening just when the sun was setting down. I was a little sad. The always busy Starbucks was abnormally empty last night, perhaps due to all the traveling of the Labor Day weekend. I sat quietly in the corner sipping on my iced caramel macchiato and going through all the summer pictures I took with my iPhone. Goodbye August and hello September!

Бегала вчера по заросшему лугу в наспех сплетённым из ромашек венке. На меня всегда нападает непонятная грусть-печаль, когда заканчивается лето. По пути домой остановились в Старбаксе, всегда шумный и набитый людьми, он был непривычно тихим и таким уютным. Я тихо села в уголке со своим лакомством (ледяным маккиато) и тихо, как мышка, перебирала все летние фотографии в iPhone. Прощай, август! Здравствуй, сентябрь! хо

Antique Saturday

Spent entire Saturday afternoon at the antique sale. It was an amazing experience and I had such a blast going through all the furniture, chandeliers and home decorations and taking pictures of all the lovely pieces at the same time. The owner Virginia and her vendors did a wonderful job creating such a beautiful space in a 2-story barn. 

How is your weekend? Hope it's a good one! We are planning to go to a farm today to pick some fresh peaches :) xo

Провела половину субботы на распродаже антиквариата. Мне безумно понравилось, думаю, что отныне буду почаще бывать на таких мероприятиях - там такая красота!
