Spread the Sunshine

Hello lovelies, today's post is a very special one and let me explain you why. A few weeks ago I was contacted by the fashion accessories line Nepali by TDM Design and I got to know that I have been chosen as one of the ambassadors for their line among with a few other amazing bloggers. Needless to say I was so honored and excited! The ideas of entrepreneurship and giving back to community were circling in my head for a while so this was a great opportunity to make these ideas come true. 

Let me tell you a little bit about the brand: what differentiates Nepali by TDM Design from other brands is that all of their products are hand-made from natural, high-quality materials by a group of women in Nepal. The company has encouraged these women through this work and has enabled them to become empowered, respectable participants in their families in a heavily patriarchal and impoverished society. They receive the above-market compensation, monthly medical care and education for their children. For most of us it might sound so ordinary but don't forget that for some people having a basic medical care can be a privilege. 

And have you ever thought that an eco-friendly clothes could look so great? You should see their scarf collection, it's wonderful! I'm absolutely in love with my bamboo scarf (the one I'm wearing in the photos), it's so lightweight, soft and perfect for summer -- light enough to wear outside and warm enough for a freezing office. I'm sure you'll find something you love on their website. And by the way, they are offering a 50% off discount for the entire site with the code: COMPUTERS. Wonder why computers? Because Nepali by TDM Design has a goal to sell enough scarves to build a computer lab in the school in the Nepalese village by the end of the summer. Link to the website here.

Well That's the Way I Want It to Stay

It's amazing how one touch of red lipstick can transform an outfit. I've noticed that pairing neutral colored jackets/sweaters with the bright red lips works the best for me. And every time I wear red lipstick, I get a whole bunch of compliments from kind strangers on the streets which makes me blush sometimes :)

"...It's Better Than I Ever Even Knew"

...enjoying the last days of winter and looking forward to warmer days so I can put away my lovely coat until next winter. I've been listening to Lana Del Rey's "Video Games" non-stop lately. It always happens to me when one song gets stuck in my head and I listen to it at least hundred of times until I come across a new song. Does it ever happen to you?..

Pastel Candy

Incredibly excited about this beautiful warm weather and sunshine. Spring is in the air! 

I have completely fallen for the pastel hues lately. When I saw a glimpse of myself in the mirror before heading out the door, I couldn't think of anything else but pastel candy. I hope you are having a lovely week! xo

Безумно радуюсь нашей тёплой и солнечной погоде. Весна идёт, весне дорогу!

В последнее время просто живу мягкими пастельными оттенками, могу любоваться ими бесконечно. Когда увидела себя в зеркало в этих джинсах и рубашке, почему-то вспомнила о конфетках, не помню точно как они называются (и есть ли у них определённое название), они такие круглые, пастельного оттенка и очень вкусные. Надеюсь, что неделя проходит у вас на ура! хо

A Perfect Kind of Pink

I hope you had a lovely weekend and your week is off to a great start! After a few lazy days I'm looking forward to a new week since I have hundreds of things on my agenda, I think I'm better off when my schedule is busy, when I have to run or drive somewhere for a meeting, appointment, etc. And when I have to look presentable. I love how this blazer keeps things polished and clean. Isn't this the loveliest shade of pink? (on the pictures it looks like beige but in reality it's more of a pinkish color) Absolutely lovely :)

Надеюсь, что вы замечательно провели выходные, и готовы с радостью начать новую неделю. После лениво проведённых выходных я всегда с нетерпением жду понедельника, особенно когда запланирована сотня дел. Всё чаще и чаще убеждаюсь, что жизнь моя проходит намного продуктивнее, когда дел много, когда нужно куда-то ехать, бежать, с кем-то встречаться. И выглядеть соответствующе. Мне нравится как этот пиджак любой наряд с брюками превращает в элегантный. И цвет такой нежный, приятный (на фотографиях цвет выглядит бежевым, но в жизни он бледно-розовый).

Rule Of Stripes And Solid Blue

...wearing stripes and navy blue. For some reasons I adore this combination, especially with my brown messenger bag. Though nothing can possibly fit in this tiny bag (I usually have all kind of things in my bag), I still love to carry it around.

...полоски и тёмно-синий цвет. Сама не знаю почему, но очень люблю это сочетание, особенно в паре с коричневой сумкой. Хотя в неё абсолютно ничего не помещается (я люблю, когда в сумке помещается абсолютно всё), я всё равно частенько её ношу.

That's how our Valentine's Day with Bunny looks like, nothing special, just a few pretty things to create the lovely atmosphere: cute LOVE cups, a garland of hearts I created yesterday and pretty cards for each other.

Happy weekend, everyone! I hope you guys are having a great and enjoyable weekend. We are having a rainy-snowy day with glimpses of sun so I'm trying to stay warm wearing a coat and a hat. Heading to a birthday party in the evening and I'm so glad I took care of the birthday present few days ago so I can spend afternoon pampering myself at the spa :)

Надеюсь, что выходные проходят у вас на "ура"! У нас в эти дни то снег, то дождь, с проблесками солнечных лучей, поэтому ношу пальто и шляпу. Вечером идём на день рождения к друзьям, и я так рада, что мне сегодня не нужно бегать и искать подарок. Со мной часто такое бывает - покупаю подарки в последний момент, нервничаю, езжу из одного магазина в другой, опаздываю... Рада, что в этот раз я купила подарок заранее, поэтому с чистой совестью могу ехать в spa до самого вечера :)

White As Snow

I spent my entire morning at the art supply store. It's like heaven to me going through the aisles of paper, paints, brushes and other art-related things. Can't wait to use all the new supply I got. And since the weather was so unfriendly today (cold, dark and rainy-snowy) I spent the entire afternoon at home working on couple of projects. Well, I was very happy to see some snowflakes outside, I even stepped out for two minutes to enjoy the snow but then rushed back in. Since I didn't know what to take pictures of, I took pictures of my lovely messy desk. Hope you don't mind :)

Всё утро провела в магазине среди полок и стеллажей с холстами, бумагой, красками, кисточками и другими принадлежностями для художников. Я, наверное, в таком магазине смогла бы целый день провести и не замечать время. Погода нас сегодня особо не порадовала (темно, холодно и сыро), поэтому после обеда была дома, работая над двумя проектами. Обрадовалась снегу за окном, выбежала на улицу, постояла под снежинками минуты две и забежала домой. Решила пофотографировать свой рабочий стол, т. к. других идей, что фотографировать, на тот момент в голове не было :)
